1. Surface Preparation

   • Ensure the bonding surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or grease.
   • Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and a lint-free cloth before applying tape.
   • Avoid using solvents or cleaners that may leave residues or damage the surface.
   • Apply a primer (Adhesion promoter) for low surface energy substrates like plastic, PTFE, rough or porous surfaces to improve adhesion.

2. Application Conditions

   • Apply at temperatures between 15°C and 35°C (60°F – 95°F).
   • Avoid very cold, humid, or dusty environments during application.
   • Ensure both tape and surface are at similar room temperature before installation.

3. Application Technique

   • Cut the tape to the required length before applying.
   • Use utility knife/Blade cutter for cutting the tapes evenly rather than hand tearing.
   • Peel the liner gradually and press the tape firmly with even pressure.
   • Use a roller or squeegee to eliminate air bubbles and ensure full contact.
   • For double-sided tapes, align precisely before bonding as repositioning can weaken adhesion.

4. Bonding and Curing Time

   • Immediate tack after application; full bond strength achieved within 24–72 hours.

5. Storage and Handling

   • Store tapes in a cool, dry, clean environment (18–25°C).
   • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, and humidity.
   • Keep rolls flat and avoid stacking heavy materials on top of them.

6. Safety & Notes

   • Review the product’s technical & safety data sheet (TDS & MSDS) for best results.
   • Use personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles) where necessary.
   • Dispose of liners and packaging responsibly in accordance with local regulations.

   • Conduct compatibility testing before mass application.
2. Recommended Application Condition
   • Surface Temperature: 15°C – 35°C.
   • Avoid application on hot surfaces or during condensation.
3. Application Method
   • Apply using uniform pressure (roller or laminator).
   • Avoid air entrapment.
   • Do not overstretch film during application.
4. Removing Guidelines
   • Remove at 45°-90° angles
   • Ideal removal temperature: 15°C – 35°C.
   • Remove within recommended protection period
5. Shelf life
   • 6 months from the date of manufacturing, when stored under recommended conditions.

6. Recommended Storage Conditions
   • Store in original packaging.
   • Temperature: 18°C – 30°C
   • Relative Humidity: 40% – 70%
   • Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.

It is suggested to consider various factors while choosing a tape for a particular application other than its ability to fulfill its purpose and avail various benefits while using a single product.

1. Appearance or the esthetics of the product.
2. The surface type on which the tape is to be used, for instance smoothness or high energy of the surfaces.
3. The longevity of the bond.
4. The tape’s bond – permanent or temporary.
5. The tape’s ability to withstand harsh temperature, humidity, UV rays, etc. and the duration for which it can withstand these extreme conditions.
6. Environmental conditions of the surface to which the tape must applied, for example presence of chemicals, plasticizers, etc.
7. The strength of the bond and the duration of the stress inflicted on the bond.
8. Transparency.
9. Nature of use for the tapes’ bonding solution.
10. Resistance to fire and flames.
11. Price of the tape in comparison to its performance and importance.
